Sound and light Show featuring modern-day Pontefract residents who will transform, with the aid of the castle’s trees, into the “Giants” - the ancestors of Pontefract - each one representing a period of the town’s history, from the misty, forgotten depths of Pontefract’s very first human habitation, through Iron Age farming, to post-Civil War liquorice cultivation and more accompanied by music from harp and voice.
